Once, not so long ago, a little girl dreamed of a warm, cozy little house.
While her peers slept in soft beds, she and her brother slept on a hard sofa. In winter, they covered a broken window with plastic and huddled together to keep warm.
She didn’t have much, but she had dreams, a vision, diligent hands, a pure heart, and honest intentions. She knew what she wanted and believed it was possible. There was fear, tears, laughter, and worry… but also immense courage and people who filled her sails with wind. Even those whose hearts ached at her happiness, because she understands that everyone carries their own burdens and fights their own battles, she is grateful for them all.
